Bear hugs cheer me up

when they don’t kill me...

3 days in the expedition

There I was in the deepest forest a man can go, anything was possible. I was a beast among other beasts. I was in my natural ellement, every entity that sorounded me was my kin, and as every family I reckon has, the wierd and terribally manerd uncle, was about to show up and disrupt my merrily evening.

How was I supposed to know that his den lied right over the river under a few very smartly camouflaged rocks? Blindly and carelesly I walked right onto the front porch of a fellow beast. The problem was, this kind of creature is not very kind with visitors, or with anybody for that matter. There were a few fish skeletons on the ground, but at that time, the only hing I was thinking was, how stupid can a fish be, to come all the way from the river and just die of suffocation. Holding that thought, a subtle and continious growl could be heard from the ground. My stomach was rulled out, because I had no tacos for dinner, sadly tacos do not grow in trees in the middle of the forest, yet what could generate that wierd noise?

It was obvious to me were the noise was comming from. It was ofcourse, my ears, stuck with wax. I never really like to clean them, from the inside, but I always check the outside. My thick skull didn’t even tried to think that in that den in the ground lied a far greater danger then the germs nesting in my uncleaned ears. It was a cute danger, I give him that, but he could kill me faster with his claws than with his cuteness. I had no plans to die, not that day anyway.

Snoring like my grandma after a new years eve party, the cute 300 kg of death with claws, teeth and thick skin covered by silky brown hair has in deep sleep, dreaming probably about eating honney with biscuits, or playing with his best friend Winnie the Pooh. The first thing I could think was, i really need to touch his furr, it looked soo fluffy and cozzy. I wanted to hug him, but his love could literally kill me.

I thought about me, and how I react when someone wakes me up. I feel all grumpy and tierd, and I want that person that woke me up dead, so I decided to leave the tierd bear alone with his dreams. I was sad actually, that I never got to make his acquaintance, but I am also glad that I still have my life. I have a long way to go into my journey, but I hope I will not meet another forest inhabitant of his scale, any time sooner. Is it wierd that for a second I wanted to test the play dead trick?

Anyway, until my next post, stay safe and don’t forget to travel!
